YOU ARE ENOUGH

Have you realised that most of the time new mothers don’t know what they are doing? Well I was one of those mothers and even 2 years later i still am.

in fact all new mothers are just clueless about being a mom because it is their first time to join the mom club. Therefore mothers tend to feel like they are not enough. Often times you will hear a mother saying I am not doing enough for my child; that is why my baby is always crying a lot, baby have delayed milestones, throwing tantrums at the mall and or at home. But guess what mommy; all babies cry. They cry because it is their way of communicating something with you such as I am tired, bored, hungry, wet, sleepy, hot or cold. Babies’ reach each milestones when they are ready and even when they are delayed take them to the Doctor and never doubt what you are doing as their mom. As for tantrums it is part of growing up, it is normal for a baby to throw tantrum because that is how they express their emotions. Remember to breath and attend to the child with a calm and understanding spirit.

My son had colic, his crying frustrated me. No matter how hard we tried he couldn’t stop crying, people suggested colic drops which we used and it helped for only few minutes. My point here is every child is different, for some babies colic drops work like magic while some it doesn’t but that does not mean that you are not doing enough when you child is behaving a certain way.

It is normal and okay to be frustrated but don’t stay there for too long. Try to find out what makes you feel inadequate at that given moment and write it down

TIP

1. Keep a journal for days when you do not feel like you are not doing enough.

2. Write down you emotions at that given moment and its root cause.

3. Then lastly write the solution that really worked for you.

This is to help you next time you are facing the same problem.
